The beach access from the villa was convenient.
Unfortunately, I encountered several issues . The air conditioning unit in my room rattled loudly. The hotel ran out of basic supplies like bananas and ice cubes, quite surprising. The front office staff seemed under-trained and were not very helpful when I raised concerns about the delayed ferry-shuttle service.

The restaurant was nice, good service, outstanding food. I was offered a room with AMAZING views over the beach and sea. Its location close to local markets and a market was favourable. By the way, gardens and coral reefs were close to the place.

I was here for 1 night and ate at beach restaurant with very friendly young waiters. The hotel had a very central setting to the food market before the party.

It was just a perfect match for a weekend breather in Thongsala with good value. The two young boys at the restaurant were friendly and helpful . Make sure to check if any nearby parties could disturb your peace.

great pool and restaurant area. Friendly staff. great views from the rooms over the sea. There is a great bar, run by locals, called the Honeypot. Just 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
Bit out of the way/secuded. Great if you want to be left alone. Bit of a trek to get anywhere else.

Pool and sea options side by side were great. Rooms were large and very nice.
The outdoor showers were really cool but one of our party found showering with some of the local insects a bit frightening. Not a criticism but be prepared for it!

Was right on the beach. Only a few steps from the door of your room
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The outdoor bathroom is a bit strange in the middle of the night

We had fun staying at Da Kanda, it is very close to the local town and right on the beach. Was a great place to stay if your on a budget, nothing fancy.
Don't rent a motorcycle from the Hotel, just up the road is a bike rental place for B150 per day. The hotel is "rustic" and the bedding is old, but at-least it was very clean.
